About Myrient
What is Myrient?
Myrient is a video game archive where you can download content from our wide variety of collections to use in emulators and on real systems.
What makes Myrient different?
We focus on accessibility with fast download speeds, no limits on downloads, no ads shown, and no registration needed.
Is Myrient safe?
Yes. All content is verified before being added to Myrient by comparing the hash of every file against lists of hashes of known good copies to see if they match.
What does "Myrient" mean?
Myrient is a portmanteau of the words "myriad" and "entertainment", referring to the countless amount of video game content that is difficult to access or no longer available legitimately.
How can I support you?
Thank you! You can support us by making a donation.
How can I upload missing content to Myrient?

How do I filter content by [content type or region]?
The search feature is versatile for filtering out all content except for a certain type. Here are a few usage examples:
- To filter everything except BIOS files, type "bios" in the search bar without quotation marks.
- To filter everything except SGB Enhanced Game Boy Color content, type "sgb enhanced" in the search bar without quotation marks.
- To filter everything except all European revisions of Super Mario 3D Land for the 3DS, type "super mario 3d land europe" in the search bar without quotation marks.
Is hotlinking to Myrient allowed?
Hotlinking to content (file) URLs is no longer allowed due to constant abuse of Myrient's resources by various websites. These websites were often filled with advertisements and pop-ups and placed Myrient's file URLs behind interstitial link shorteners in order to make a profit. Many of these link shorteners contained malware.
If you would like to share Myrient with others, please share the directory URL, not the file URL. Directory URLs end with a trailing slash (/), not a file extension such as .zip.
What applications does Myrient support?
Here is a list of supported applications:
- Wget (recommended, free)
- Rclone HTTP remote (recommended for advanced users, only copy and sync commands supported, free)
- JDownloader (free)

How do I download from Myrient using the above applications?
Using Wget: You may use Wget to download single files or entire directories from Myrient. We recommend using the following command: wget -m -np -c -e robots=off -R "index.html*" "[URL]"

- NordVPN
- xFi Advanced Security (Comcast)
- SecurityEdge (Comcast Business)
- Surfshark
More information regarding connectivity issues and how to solve them are in the below section "Connectivity Issues".
Why is my download speed limited to 10 KB/s?
We use various methods in order to ensure Myrient is not abused for commercial, for-profit purposes. Your download was detected as abusive and heavily restricted for that reason.
How to fix the problem:
- Make sure you are downloading directly from this website and not a different website
- Make sure you are not copying and pasting the link in a new or separate tab
- Make sure you are not copying and pasting the link in an unsupported application (supported applications can be found above)
- If you are using a download manager, make sure it is the latest version
- Disable all extensions/add-ons in your web browser
- When using a download manager, make sure it is the latest version and that the URL contains Myrient's website domain,
myrient.erista.me, and not the direct file URL. For example,https://myrient.erista.me/path/to/file.zipwill work properly andhttps://example.com/path/to/file.zipwill not work properly - When using a download manager, make sure no integration or add-on is being used
Why is the download speed slow?
It is most likely due to high traffic or poor routing from our servers to your ISP. You can use a VPN set to the closest location to change the routing and improve your download speed. If you are experiencing slow download speeds while using a VPN, disable it.
If you are using a download manager, make sure it is the latest version and that the URL contains Myrient's website domain, myrient.erista.me, and not the direct file URL. For example, https://myrient.erista.me/path/to/file.zip will work properly and https://example.com/path/to/file.zip will not work properly. Also, make sure no integration or add-on is being used.
Why are recently updated files not downloading at all?
Recently updated files (files that have a Date less than 24 hours ago) can take up to one day to propagate to all of our servers, during which the files may not be able to be downloaded. Please try downloading the files again later.
Connectivity Issues
Why am I unable to access Myrient?
We do not prevent anyone from accessing Myrient. However, multiple governments, internet service providers, and VPN providers have decided to block Myrient for various reasons. You will have issues accessing Myrient if you are located in one of the following countries or are using the following internet service or VPN providers:
- Portugal: The government of Portugal has ordered internet service providers in Portugal to block Myrient and intercept DNS requests to Myrient, causing DNS errors to be shown.
How to fix: Change your DNS to Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1. A guide on how to do that is located here. - NordVPN: NordVPN has added Myrient to its "Threat Protection" block list and is hijacking connections to Myrient, causing a warning or block page or SSL errors to be shown.
How to fix: Addhttps://myrient.erista.meto the excluded domains list/allowlist or disable "Threat Protection" in the NordVPN application. - Comcast/Comcast Business: Comcast and Comcast Business have blocked Myrient and are hijacking connections to Myrient, causing SSL errors to be shown.
How to fix: For Comcast users, disable "xFi Advanced Security" in your router's settings. For Comcast Business users, disable "SecurityEdge" in your account. - Surfshark: Surfshark has added Myrient to its "CleanWeb" block list and is hijacking connections to Myrient, causing SSL errors to be shown.
How to fix: Disable "CleanWeb" in the Surfshark application. - Other: Almost all other cases of Myrient being blocked also result in SSL or connection reset errors to be shown.
How to fix: If you are using an antivirus, network filter, or firewall, whitelist Myrient. Otherwise, change your DNS to Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1. A guide on how to do that is located here. If nothing else works, use a VPN.
Content
Why is everything in ZIP (.zip) format and not 7-Zip (.7z)?
When compared to the 7-Zip format, ZIP archives are easier to manage and use. The ZIP format usually does not require the installation of a third-party program.
Why is certain content in ZIP (.zip) format and not uncompressed like it should be?
The software we use to organize files (also known as a ROM manager) compressed those files by default. Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to change the files to be decompressed without breaking all of the files' URLs.
How do I verify the integrity of downloaded content?
All content can be verified by calculating the size and checksums (CRC-32, SHA-1, SHA-256, and MD5) of the file(s) inside the ZIP archive and comparing them to what is presented on No-Intro for the No-Intro collection, Redump for the Redump collection, and TOSEC for the TOSEC, TOSEC-ISO, and TOSEC-PIX collections. If they match, the content has not been tampered with.
Why do the ZIP files contain a comment saying "TORRENTZIPPED-XXXXXXXX"?
All ZIP files were compressed using a standard format called TorrentZip, which helps ensure all files compressed result in identical archives. The 8 characters after "TORRENTZIPPED-" represent the CRC-32 checksum of all the files in the archive's central directory. The string does not affect the data contained within the archive in any way.
Does Myrient offer pre-patched ROMs for download?
Myrient offers pre-patched or translated ROMs for download in the Internet Archive collection.
Why do you not make the content available to download via torrents?
The truth is that people are only willing to seed the content they are interested in and not obscure content that nobody has heard of. Direct downloads ensure full availability by allowing all content to be available for download, no matter how obscure it may be.
Additionally, as content in sets are always being added or updated, they naturally also have to be updated anywhere else they are available. Torrents are impossible to update without using BitTorrent v2, which has support for mutable torrents but is not widely adopted yet and has caveats.
How do I convert GameCube or Wii RVZ files to ISO?
The RVZ format is unconventional by Redump standards and the only format Myrient offers for GameCube and Wii to save storage and bandwidth. If you already have the beta or development version of Dolphin, skip steps 2 and 3.

- Locate the Dolphin-x64 folder you extracted, open it, and launch Dolphin.exe.
- Double-click in the blank area to add a new path. Set it to the directory where you extracted the RVZ file to in step 1. You should see the game you downloaded listed in the menu.
- Right-click the game and choose "Convert File...".
- Leave ISO as the Format. Leave "Remove Junk Data (Irreversible)" unchecked. Click "Convert..."
